Sushi Karaoke Meetup

Hey Everyone!  Please take a minute to fill out the survey to help determine when we will meet for sushi karaoke…please note the hours are late, because karaoke doesn’t start until 9:30 on weeknights…if it is determined that Saturday or Sunday are the most popular… times are earlier and we can figure that out later.

Help...?

Feel free to hate on me as much as you want, but does anyone know of a bar that broadcasts NY Giant football games in Boston?  At all?

Sports fans here seem to be into the Boston teams and little else… and as a displaced New Yorker (don’t worry, I’m a Mets fan - since birth) I really just want to watch some NFC action without having to look at the Brady-Moss love fest that happens every time a Patriots game is on.

Every Sunday evening, Maureen Hautaniemi stands at the front of the Savant Project, a Mission Hill bistro, with a coiled whip and The Practical Encyclopedia of Sex and Health. “We punish cheaters with my whip, just so you know,” she told the crowd, who had assembled last Sunday for a night of Sex and Drugs trivia.

Dear Readers—Did you by any chance go to high school with me? Do you still live in Boston? Because I’m doing a reading at Brookline Booksmith on Monday (the 18th) at 7pm. Sana Krasikov will also be reading. If you went to high school with me but then moved to New York, tell your parents to come. Parents are big book-buyers, I’ve noticed. Also, tell Ali Dehestani to come, if you see him. I don’t have a Facebook page and this tumblr is pretty much the only way I can communicate with the world. Thank you. -K
